About this journey

Winter in the old capital — a short note on what you can expect.

Nine mornings in temples still half-asleep, a tea ceremony behind a wooden gate, and a kaiseki dinner that lasts four hours in the snow.

We've been running this trip since 2017. We know the weather, the handful of private homes that will hold a last-minute reservation, and the small change in the itinerary that makes all the difference. Every version runs differently — we design it around you.
