About this journey
Where the sun forgets — a short note on what you can expect.
A sail through polar fjords in the blue hour of spring — ice cliffs, an ice-class vessel, and very few other humans.
We've been running this trip since 2017. We know the weather, the handful of private homes that will hold a last-minute reservation, and the small change in the itinerary that makes all the difference. Every version runs differently — we design it around you.
Highlights — a short list
What you'll remember.
Twelve passengers, nineteen crew, one ship
Kayak into a glacier at midnight blue
Tracking polar bears with a quiet naturalist
An abandoned Russian mining town in the fog
The itinerary — a draft
Your days, roughly.
We treat this as a starting point — everything is rearranged around weather, your pace, and the things we find along the way.
Day 01
Longyearbyen
A day in the northernmost town on earth. Wool shop, coffee, and a welcome dinner aboard.
Day 02 — 06
North through the fjords
Five days sailing. Zodiacs daily. A single polar bear at a distance will be the thing you remember most.
Day 07 — 08
Isfjorden
A hike up the ridge. A cold dip if you want it. Celestial dinner with the naturalist.
Day 09
Disembark
Back to Longyearbyen in the blue hour. Flight south from a very strange, beautiful airport.
